Myakka River trip, day 4

It didn’t take long to pack up camp this morning. I set off to the birding trail and the lake before leaving the park. I really enjoyed this campsite – so beautiful, so peaceful, such nice amenities. I will surely be back!
So long, Myakka River! I had a wonderful visit.

Highlands Hammock State Park
On my way home, I stopped at Highlands Hammock State Park which was absolutely beautiful! The paths were shady and cool with lush greenery, birds, bugs, and other critters. This is another one on my list of places to visit again. It’s only 2 hours away, so it can be doable for a little weekend trip.

The weekend is drawing to an end. Time to head home and get ready for work tomorrow (and schedule a car detail!!).
