On Sunday, we had a leisurely tourist day around town. We started out with a walk to breakfast at Blue Heaven. Cute chickens, yummy eggs Benedict, and comfy tropical patio atmosphere.

After that we walked to the Southernmost Point and captured a couple of pictures between the people in line for personalized photos.

It was about to pour, and we fortunately made it to the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservancy without getting rained on so that I could take some pictures of cute butterflies and birdies.

After that, we walked to the Fort Zachary Taylor State Park for geocaching, getting a passport stamp, and exploring the fort.

We tried to visit the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center, but it’s closed on Sundays – boo!

We wandered around town and hit the Waterfront Brewery, Conch Republic Seafood Company, Green Parrot, and miscellaneous things in between. I can’t remember where we had lunch and dinner, but I remember I ate a lot of fresh fish tacos!

On Monday we were sad to leave, but happy to snuggle with the furry family again as we set out on the road to head home. We stopped at the Blue Hole and stalked some Key Deer on Pine Key.

For lunch we stopped at the No Name Pub for lunch coloring a couple of dollars to add to the wallpaper. The food was good and the people were very friendly. This place is definitely on my list of places to visit again. So long, Florida Keys! We’ll be back again in October for camping and Key West.
